NetWare 6 快速安装
准备工作
1. CD: NetWare 6 FCS Build 924
2. 准备三部计算机: PC or Notebook
· NetWare 6服务器: IDE Hard disk, IDE CDROM, 512M RAM
· WS1:Win2000 Professional à 担任一般使用者的工作站
· WS2:Win2000 Professional + Novell Client à 担任管理者工作站
3. 三部计算机连在同一个hub (同一网段), 建议在独立的实验室环境中
· NetWare 6 IP: 192.168.1.50
· WS1: 192.168.1.55
· WS2: 192.168.1.55
Mask : 255.255.255.0
Gateway : 192.168.1.245
DNS: 192.168.1.50

安装NetWare 6
1. 将NetWare 6 CD置入光驱开机
2. 选择IDE CDROMàAccept License AgreementàCreate a New Boot Partitionà预设200MB
boot partition to create, ContinueàReboot
3. 按F10-Accept License Agreementà选择 Custom, New server 来安装, Continueà保持预设的Server
Settings, ContinueàCountry code, Code page选088,950àContinueàFile Copy
Status…
à保持预设的 Platform Support Module(optional),
HotPlug Support Module(optional),
Storage adapters(IDEATA,IDEATA), Continue
à保持预设的 Storage devices(IDEHD,IDECD),
Network boards(选择适当的网卡趋动程序), Continue
[注]: 请到原网络卡厂商的web site去download for NetWare 6的趋动程序; 如果没有的话, for NetWare
5 or NetWare 4的也可以一试
à保持预设的Volume SYS and Partition Propertiesà File Copy Status…
4. 进入GUI接口àServer Name:NW6LABàLicense Location: file:/NetWare6:\LICENSE\DEMO\

5. 设定Domain Name Servers

7. New NDS Tree
Tree Name: DEMO_TREE
Context for Server Object: OU=IT.OU=Corp.O=demo
Create(Add) New Container for Organization: demo
Create(Add) New Container for Organization Unit: corp
Create(Add) New Container for Organization Unit: IT
Admin Name : admin

8. License Location : sys:\ni\update
9. Select All for the Components
10. Configure IP-based Services : Select Multiple IP Addresses

安装Novell Client 4.81 on WS2 (管理者工作站)
1. 设定WS2的IP=192.168.1.55
2. Go to http://download.novell.com/
3. Download "Novell Client 4.81 for NT/Windows 2000 English"
4. 解压缩后, Run SETUPNW.EXE
5. 安装过程中, 选 Custom Installationà只安装Novell Client for Windows 2000(Required),
其它的组件都不要安装àIP onlyàNDSàFinishàReboot
6. Login to NetWare 6
设定DHCP and DNS
1. 要设定这个实验环境中的DNS and DHCP有两种方法: 一个是直接在WS1, WS2设定IP和在host中设定相关的资料.
2. 在WS2 上安装DNS/DHCP Management Console
3. Run Z:\DNSDHCP\setup.exeàCopy the snap-in files to z:\win32
4. Run C:\Program Files\Novell\DNSDHCP\dnsdhcp.exe
5. 设定DNS Services
Create DNS server: NW6LAB
Create Zone: demo.com
Create Resource Record
新增以下A records
192.168.1.50 nw6lab.demo.com
192.168.1.51 www.demo.com
192.168.1.52 apache.demo.com
192.168.1.53 ifolder.demo.com
新增以下PTR records
192.168.1.50 nw6lab.demo.com
6. 设定DHCP Services
Create DHCP server:NW6LAB
Create Subnet : 192.168.1.0, Mask:255.255.255.0
Go to "Other DHCP Options"àAdd Router(3):192.168.1.254 and Domain
Name Server(6): 192.168.1.50
Create Subnet Address Range:192.168.1.61~192.168.1.70
7. Go to NW6LAB console: load dhcpsrvr -d2
8. Go to NW6LAB console: load named
9. 或到WS1 and WS2, Edit C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
新增以下records
192.168.1.51 www.demo.com
192.168.1.52 apache.demo.com
192.168.1.53 ifolder.demo.com
192.168.1.50 nw6lab.demo.com
10. Go to URL http://www.demo.com/,会看到下图
11. Go to "Open iManage"
Login as
User Name:admin
Password:novell
Context:demo
Tree:demo_tree
